Next comes the fun task of digging out from the ice!

Even though they had never tried it before, by the time evening rolled around they were going down the hill like old pros. The boys ignored the cold for the most part and just enjoyed the snow.

They are requesting an appointment that would have us leaving on January 11. Very exciting!

Now the US Consulate has a week to respond, so we’re not totally sure yet.

It pretty much shut down the city for 3 days. Here at home meanwhile it got into the upper 60′s and we had no snow, but the blizzard hit us hard anyway.

We’re waiting for travel notices from China, which let us make our US Consulate appointment and set our travel dates. Several online sources said they should be arriving on Thursday or Friday. The kicker here is that our adoption agency is in Denver, so the notices couldn’t get through! AAARRRGGGHHHH! All we really want for Christmas is Sarah to come home! That snow storm really threw a cramp in our week.

Well, hopefully on Boxing Day we’ll get notification that the travel notices are in and the first step in the travel planning process is complete. Then hopefully before New Year’s, we’ll have approximate travel dates. No more snow, please.
