Guess what … more paperwork! We prepared our final packets for US Immigration today, which took over two hours. It could not be done until now, because we needed information we received as part of the final adoption paperwork three days ago. As soon as we get the immigration physical tomorrow morning, the paperwork will be submitted. We expect to have the paperwork approved
Tuesday, be sworn in on Wednesday, back to Hong Kong on Thursday and winging our way home on Friday – God willing and the US Government not gumming up the works.

We are really enjoying our trip, loving the family time and in awe over Sarah’s change in just the past week …. after all, today is only the seventh day that she’s been in our arms. However, we are certainly ready to come home. We found a restaurant here in Guangzhou run by an American, and we got a pizza, a chicken parm sub and a bagel with cream cheese for lunch, but there’s really no place like home. (Toto, I think we’re not in Guangzhou any more)
After lunch, we spent some time with our travel group and took some group and family photos. We have made some close new friends through the
adoption process and this trip (it feels like we’ve known some of them for years, and in a way, I guess we have), and we will miss them as they head back to different parts of the country. All the same, I think all eleven families will be happy to be home. There are always group reunions…
By the way, I’ve heard that some links are not working right and maybe some pages display wrong on the blog. Hopefully being in Guangzhou with a more reliable connection will fix the upload procedure and so fix the broken stuff. If not, oh well. Sooner or later it will all work out.
