Since it’s now Spring (we hope) it’s time for new family pictures. Joshua has been asking for weeks, so tonight we finally went out and got “the special” – and then watched them try to sell us $300 more.

These were taken Nov 7.  It took a while, but we got smiles (and no blinking) on all of the pictures.  Thanks to the Portrait Innovations people!

  • Sarah Does Shots

Posted on April 18th, 2007 Russ No comments

One of the not-so-wonderful things about having young children is getting “the shots”. To make matters worse, Sarah has a reaction to whatever they put in those vaccines. Every time she gets them, she scratches her leg for a week. It’s really no fun.

However, this time Jordan was off on Spring Break and went to the doctor’s office with us. He kept Sarah amused while we waited the 23 years it took for the doctor to come in. and pronounce her fit and happy. Without Jordan, the trip would have been completely miserable.

One interesting thing our doctor said – Sarah grew something like 2 1/2 inches in two months. At this rate, she’ll be 8 feet tall by the time she’s seven, so we’re contacting some sports agents. But seriously, the doctor said it was amazing what some cuddling and loving could do for your health and we completely agree.

By the way, Mommy and Jordan left the doctor’s office when it was time for the shots. Not just going outside the examination room or out into the waiting room but completely out of the building. That left daddy to be the bad guy again allowing them to torture our poor defenseless little girl. Oh well, it’s a tough job but someone has to do it. That night she was all cuddles for daddy, so no harm done.
